Upper back pain

I had my dbl mastectomy 1.5 months ago. I've since then started getting pretty bad upper back pain (left wing side) I've also been dealing with an infected seroma on my left side for the past 3 weeks. Is back pain normal? I've tried Advil and a heat pad and it doesn't help much. One can't help to start thinking the worst about cancer spreading. Worried here.

When you have this surgery, your arms are over your head for a reasonably long time. Lots of people get shoulder and back trouble. Might help to see a PT. I'd assume it was post-surgical pain, not cancer spreading.
