I have high blood pressure?


Anyone has high blood pressure here on the board and can anti hypertension medication be taken over long time? I heard usually high blood pressure medication must be taken over ones life time?

    There are many reasons for having high blood pressure. Mine goes down when I lose weight so many times over a lifetime of gaining and losing weight I have been on and off medication. Some of them have side effects different for different people but when my pressure is up I take the medication because the side effect of not taking it might be a stroke or heart attack.

    I would talk to my doctor about what might be causing yours and ask about what you are being prescribed and how you might go about bringing your BP down.

    Try not to stress about it since that will increase your blood pressure. I hope you find some peace about it.
