Good morning, I am 37 & my left breast has been troublesome for almost the past year. This side has always been a cup size larger. Last fall I started having some tingling and noticed a raised area of the Areola lateral to the nipple. Had a dx mammo & it came back fine. Skin is still raised in that area but soft/squishy. March of this year, a “growth" appeared on the top of the left nipple. My ob says it is an enlarged Montgomery gland. Now, within the last couple months, my left nipple will get flaky & peels once or twice a month but does clear up. Most recently, I've discovered at the bottom of this left Areola, the border is quite uneven & the pigment protrudes out of the typical circle. Also in this area, there is a vein in the Areola that seems quite visible. On the underside of the left breast, there are 2 veins that go in a V and join near the nipple to meet this vein in the Areola. For the life of me, I cannot find any veins like this in the other breast. The vein does not feel ropey & only the one in the areola sticks out when I touch it. I am just afraid with all these weird things on my left breast/nipple that something has been missed. I see the dr on the 31st but every other issue I have had she says is fine. Any thoughts?

What kind of doctor are you seeing? The opinion of another doctor is warranted if you feel something is going on.

Are there prominent veins anywhere else on your chest or arm on that side? Swelling of arm? Any prior history of clots anywhere ?

No other prominent veins on either side of my chest but the breast in question does have 2 veins that run parallel and join before meeting this vein in the areola..these 2 veins are not prominent just visible and I don't have them on the other breast. No prominent veins in that arm or arm swelling. No history of clots. The vein in the areola is not very prominent, but I think it's easy to see and it raises up easily if I touch it. I feel like the breast in question has more veins in general than the other, the questionable breast is also much larger than the other (always has been)
