Hi everyone, I have not been on this site for awhile. I wanted to let everyone know that I am still here, feeling great and enjoying life. August 4th, I celebrated 10 years of kicking cancers butt. Just went for my 6 month checkup and all my blood work was within normal range. My tumor markers was 14. I am so thankful. I am still on armidex and getting zometa infusions every 6 months. Hope to hear from some of the ladies on here. Thank you to everyone who give me hope when I was, what I called the dark black hole of despair. Love and hugs to all

Alaskalady -- CONGRATS on your 10 years -- and thank you so much for stopping in to share this inspiration with us all. It's hard to remember sometimes that the reason we don't see many of those who have been through this years and years ago is because they are out living happy, healthy lives!
So, thank you, and cheers to you!

I don’t know you as I’ve only been here since January, but I just wanted to thank you so much for stopping in and sharing your story. Hearing from women who are years out from their diagnosis and doing fine is an absolute balm to my soul while I am here in the thick of things. There are many days I’m convinced I’m going to die and stories like yours give me hope. Thank you!!

Thank you Moderators, I’m sorry that I haven’t checked in sooner. But you are right, I have been out enjoying life. I try not to think about how terrible and difficult it was when I was going through all the treatment. But when I found this site it was a lifesaver for me. There are some wonderful women on here, who gave me so much encouragement and information that helped me get through those dark days. When I was first diagnosed I looked for women who were several years out and I printed their stories, taped them to my mirror and while I would be getting ready for the day I would read them, then at night when getting ready for bed I would read them again. Their words, their struggles, their stories helped me so much. Thank you for creating this site. Don’t give up ladies , keep fighting , we can kick cancers butt.

Thank you Colleen, you will be writing this story 10 years from now too. Keep fighting my friend. If I can be of any help feel free to message me or if you have any questions, I would be more than happy to be here for you. I know when I was in thosedark days, I surrounded myself with positive stories of women who were many years out. I would tape them to my mirror, have sticky notes in different areas of the house, even carry their stories in my purse. Reading them when I would start to feel myself getting discouraged helped me so much. Big hugs to you my fellow warrior
