Hi all, I’ve been lurking these boards for some time now as my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer a little while back. I am 36 and a couple days ago I woke up with a very painful nipple which is not quite inverted but much more flat then was. There is a firm lump right next to my nipple and it’s quite painful. There is a pain weather I touch it’s or not and it keeps me up at night. I have an appt with my GP in two weeks but I am really worried about this. Just wondering if anyone else had these symptoms and what it might have turned out to be what might turned to be. I’m not looking for a diagnosis just peace of mind I guess until my doctor can take me

    Hi there ChaCha. Hard to tell but more than likely it's benign. I think you can wait two weeks, and if the doctor is not reassuring you can ask for an ultrasound. Hope it turns out ok.
