hi im 28 years old , about three months ago i notice Lumps not directly in breast in pec muscle directly above right breast it not one lump but almost like a cluster of lumps attached to eachother after Discovering this lump ( and googling myself crazy) i tried to stay calm thank God i happen to have an appointment with my gp the following day regarding my on going lupus treatments so i thought i would just mention it to her she did not seem concerned. She did not even do an Exam or even look at my breast she told to Pay attention to if they change through out My cycle and that if i was still concerned she would examine me at my next appointment which is This September so i left feeling calmer and pushed it to the back burner until now cause tonight while standing in front the mirror before my shower i could slightly see the cluster of lumps then i place hand on the back of my head the way I always have done for myself exam and i could see the lumps so clearly it looked like about 5 rocks with rough edges all together then i did it to the other side no visible lumps but on feeling i felt one single lump near my armpit the had the rock like feeling . My husband was very concerned and feels i need to call my doctor tomorrow im just thinking maybe when i described it to my doctor she knew it was nothing to be concerned about and maybe I'm just being a worry wort is it worth getting seen sooner ?

I couldn't agree more with ne0n. Its best to take control of our care to the extent possible. No need to live with the anxiety.

    All the best.

If the next physician you see does not order an Ultrasound, tell them you would be more comfortable if you had one.

Has anyone suggested these lumps may be related to your lupus?

Sadly the health care system here requires a referral to gynaecologist or any specialist so my gp would have to refer me the only specialist i can go see now would be my Rheumatologist but not sure if that would be helpful or not i called my gps office got voicemail waiting to hear back heres to hoping i get in sooner thanks for the reply
