Best place for second opinion

My entire "journey" through this has been odd. First, I had a terrible complication from the biopsy--a 9cm hematoma that had to be surgically removed. Then, when they got to the mastectomy, they found no cancer at all in either breast. I want to take all my slides as well as any tissue they have preserved and go to either Fred Hutch or U. Pittsburgh for a second opinion. Any opinions out there?

Good grief. I’m not familiar with either facility but definitely get a second opinion. Never heard of such a thing.

macmomma....not familiar with that area but IMO you should go to a university based teaching hospital. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks for the encouragement! U Pittsburgh is supposed to have an ILC specialist, Dr. Jankowicz (sp?) I think, and Fred Hutch in Seattle is premier in ILC research and treatment.
