Arm movement after UMX

Hi all! I had a mastectomy with 20 lymph nodes removed from my right side on 718 almost 4 weeks ago. I was wondering how long before you’re allowed or able to lifer your arm completely? I’m only lifting it up to my shoulder and I still feel quite some tightening and pain. I’ve read here that recovery time varies but mostly gets better after 2 months. Is this pretty much accurate? I’m so anxious to feel somewhat back to normal again. Thanks in advance for any input.

I was not allowed to raise my arms above my shoulder until the drains were out, but then I was and I was given range of motion exercises to do that helped with my ability to get back to normal. I kept up with those exercises and saw a PT person that was trained for lymphedema care and my range of motion came back very quickly. Good luck to you!
