Diep after implants

Hi

Has anyone had diep surgery after implants. I was triple positive 3A 8 nodes. Dr. took alot of nodes out to be safe. I'm 5 years out from end of treatment and doing good. I am thinking of doing this because of tightness & pain especially tight in armpit area. Its not real real bad yet but I feel it may get worse later in life. I would rather do it now than later. Im 54 and was told if something happens with my implant they would not put another in. Another reason I'm thinking of doing this. I am very scared. Big surgery and It scares me that if they do this it may stir up something and my cancer could come back. I know this may sound stupid. Also implants dont last forever or do they. I dont want to have to have surgery in my 70 or 80 if I dont have to. Yes, I plan to live a long time I hope. Anyone out there that had this surgery done with close to same diagnosis? Happy with results? Any info would be great. Thanks for your help.

You may want try the reconstruction thread. There may be someone there that chose this option.
