Can underwire bras cause tingling?

I've had a tingling, weird, nerve-discomfort, like a 'let down' sensation in my breast every day for 6 weeks - same spot. I had a 2cm cyst aspirated in that area and it hasn't made a difference after 2 days. Breast surgeon said it wasn't related and says it's from underwire bras. So I'm to only wear sports bras for 3 months and see how I go.

Has anyone else been told this?
