So my journey started shortly after I married my husband last year. When we got back from our honeymoon about a month later my left breast was extremely sore and had a greenish blue (I know it sounds weird) liquid coming from it. My first initial thought was an infection so I went to my gyn for a checkup. She did a smear of the liquid and found blood cells in it. From there it was a whirl wind of appointments for Mammograms and Ultrasounds which doesn't really show much due to be being in my 30s. Finally got referred to a breast surgeon because she was concerned about it being pagets. My breast surgeon was not sure what to think and sent me for a closed MRI. Once he got the results from that test said he couldn't see anything at this time but it could be so small that it didn't show and he wanted me to repeat tests in a year. Bringing you to current year the liquid is still happening but now I have spots on areola that are leaking from clear to straw yellow. My left nipple itches non stop and is getting crusty. During my U/S last week I saw the tech type in Left Breast Lump; but when the dr came in to talk to me said she thinks it is nothing. My main question is should i demand a biopsy at this point. I cannot deal with the pain from the breast and constant itching and flaking of my nipple. Any advise would help.

thanks for the reply however I am being scheduled for surgery. The dr found one lump on left side but still can’t explain discharge. On the right they are removing several areas of concern. I know biopsy will be done at time of surgery but am still contemplating having my primary care do a BRCA 1 & 2 year done due to being adopted and not knowing family history. The lump that was found is not near any ducts so he is not entirely sure what is causing the discharge that is greenish blue in color and does contain red blood cells
