Finally got one Bi-Rads confused on wording

I got the incomplete BI-RADS report tonight and I have a question about the wording. It says there is a mass in the left breast upper outer quadrant and mid to posterior depth.

What does that mean

Have no idea without knowing what the entire report says. How is the mass described? What is the recommendation?

well I’m waiting on my BIRADs from my diagnostic mammogram and u/s but I know I have to have a biopsy. The radiologist told me it seems more on the benign side but we still need to biopsy to be 100%. I am confused on where in my breast this is ? Mid to posterior?

According to what you posted, if you look at the left breast like its a clock, the mass is located between 12 and 3 o'clock and is between the center of the breast and the chest wall. There should be one more descriptor involving distance from the nipple in the report to better gauge its location.

Upper Outer Quadrant is more likely in the armpit region . So I think it is says Mass is found in the middle to upper part of the armpit area possibly more towards the mid part of the inside of the arm pit to the back of the armpit

That is incorrect. The upper outer quadrant is not in the arm pit (or axilla). It is wholly contained within the breast and does not go beyond the margin of the breast.

Between the breast and the axilla is the "axillary tail" (or Tail of Spence) , and that leads into the axilla.

Thanks for the recorrecting I wasn't for sure and when I saw a upper outer quadrant in this picture I thought it was like more in lower area of the armpit that's why I shared that information with the I think that what it meant .
