Waiting for results! Anxious.

Had a stereotatic core needle biopsy this morning for calcifications. The biopsy did not hurt, and I’m home now with a little bit of arm soreness on that side, alternating ice pack use as directed. The whole thing was really strange, but again, no pain thank goodness.

Now is the hard part, waiting for results. I’m really hoping to have them before COB on Friday. They told me Monday/Tuesday which will be so hard over the weekend. Hoping they just want to temper expectations!

I’m 41, and this was my first mammogram/biopsy. The mammo report was birads 0 from the screening mammogram (3D), and then birads 4 for calcifications in my right breast from the diagnostic (no a,b,c on my report). Hoping for benign results!!!

Sending b9 wishes to you! I had my excisional biopsy operation for my birads 4 on July 10th and received my b9 results on the 19th, still sore in the nipple area and kinda in disbelief about the result but trying to calm down.  The waiting part is the worst but don't let it get the better of you, enjoy your weekend instead and hope only for the best outcome.

just wanted to update that I got my results and the calcifications were found to be normal. I have to go for a re-check in 6 months. So relieved. These boards have been so informative and helpful during this process, I can’t thank everyone enough and I’m so glad to know this resource is here shouldn’t I or someone I know need it in the future.
