Arimdex/anastrazole and erethyma nodosum

Hello all:

I've been taking anastrazole since the beginning of 2017. Over the last year I developed a problem lifting my left leg into my car without pain. I reported it to my orthopedic doctor who thought it was related to hip bursitis and I was prescribed physical therapy with no relief of symptoms.

I also began to notice several lumps under my skin in my left lower leg which were painful to the touch. It's become clear that these lesions are what's causing the pain when I try to lift my lower leg. I scheduled an appointment with my dermatologist who diagnosed me with erethyma nodosum.

I'm now suspicious of the anastrazole since reading several accounts of erethyma nododum in breast cancer patients who are taking arimidex.

Has anyone else experienced this painful condition while on hormone therapy?

I see my medical oncologist in September but wondered if anyone here has any experiences that could help shed some light on this in the meantime.

Thanks!

Marcell
