Fibroadenoma and bleeding nipple

Hello!

On Monday I received the great news that a lump I had biopsied last week was benign. Yay! Yesterday I saw a surgeon to go over everything and she was alarmed when I told her that I have bleeding from my nipple when I press on the area of the lump. This started around the same time I found my lump. Most things I’ve read said that fibroadenomas do not cause nipple bleeding.


I have to go back in for another ultrasound in 4 weeks (to let the biopsy area heal all the way) and then I’ll see her again in 6 weeks. In the meantime, has anyone ever had bleeding while having a fibroadenoma

    Sorry to hear you're going through all of this! I'm glad the results were benign. I personally have not experienced bleeding at all and I have many fibroadenomas in each breast. That's obviously not to say it's not possible, but I haven't experienced that. Best of luck with your follow ups!
