Worried about pagets disease

A little background, I'm 23 years old, no family history of BC, and I had an itchy nipple that started in May. There became a small scaly patch that mostly went away after a few days, but it left a small pink spot (maybe the size of a mosquito bite, slightly smaller) and that spot won't go away for months now and it itches like crazy but only sometimes. Sometimes the spot becomes almost invisible (but always still there and slightly raised/different texture than the rest of the nipple), but when it "flares" up it's very itchy and very pink. I went to a doctor yesterday who did a breast exam and examined it and she said it looked like an inflamed gland. I want to just believe it's that but I know without a biopsy nothing is guaranteed. I'm just scared because it wont go away. I just started hydrocortisone cream and that actually made it more itchy but I'm going to keep using it. I was thinking after a week i could make an appointment with a dermatologist. I got especially scared when I saw someone say they had pagets and it ended up only being a small, itchy pink spot on their nipple (really shouldn't be scouring the Internet, it only makes health anxiety worse).
