I Can't Eat - And I Need Help

Options

I had a double mastectomy and my lymph noids removed and finished my chemo treatment a year ago (Red Devil) and have been sick ever since. Almost every meal is a waste and I can't keep anything down. My doctor says it could take years for the toxins to leave my system. I'm worried that I'm not getting the nutrients my body needs... and can only eat crackers and yogurt. A couple of year prior to my treatment I had major stomach surgery (had it reduced) which I'm sure is not helping.

Does anyone have any advice? Are there foods that are easier on the system?

I'm very scared.

What kind of dr are you seeing? if not MD, see MD, preferably a gastroenterologist, in either case do see a registered dietitian to ensure you are taking in all essential nutrients, and they'll help you figure out what foods you can tolerate. Take care.

I agree that you should see a doctor asap. In the meantime, can you tolerate Ensure? The drink is said to provide complete, balanced nutrition. I'd use it only as a temporary measure until you see a doctor. Take care of yourself!
