Hi all - I am new to this group and I'm really happy I found this site. Since I've been reading all the topics and responses it has made it easier for me to accept my diagnosis. I went for my annual mammogram in Feb 2018 and was diagnosed with Stage IV MBC on February 14, 2018 (The last day of me being 55, day before my birthday also the day of the Stoneham Douglas School shooting, very close to my home. What a day.) Tumor in my breast, in lymph nodes and on spine. All in one year. I thought I was going to die in a few months. I thought it was my death sentence. I have learned a lot bout MBC over the last few months. I have been on Letrozole and Ibrance and just started my 6th treatment. I went for a PET scan and received the results on Friday. It was great news. 80% decrease in the breast, no activity on the spine or lymph nodes. I am scheduled to meet with a surgeon on Aug 1 and then radiation. I was told I was not curable but my MO thinks I might have a chance of being cured. I never thought I would say but I’m excited to see the surgeon.

Wishing all of you the best

Donna I live in Fl but originally from NJ.
