I just got results from 3D mammogram and dr. wants further imaging, will do this on Friday. I know a cluster is not good but not necessarily ominous but still am freaked out. I had a lumpectomy at 27 (I'm 46 now) to remove a galactocele ( basically, clogged milk duct from breastfeeding) exactly in that spot (if I'm reading the the location correctly, side, middle third section of breast?). Could the calcifications be from this lumpectomy? I have scar tissue there too. The incision was about 3 inches and the lump was like a small egg. Dr. says to additional imaging but not a biopsy but I can talk to breast surgeon "if I want?" So I don't know how alarmed I should be.

From report:

"A developing
cluster of calcifications is identified in the lateral aspect of the right breast,
middle third. No suspicious mass or architectural distortion is seen on either side."
