edited July 2018 in Waiting for Test Results

Hi all,

I am hoping to find some answers or at least ease my mind.

Little background info I had cervical cancer in 2014. It was found when I was pregnant with my daughter. I had a full hysterectomy in 2015. Lucky for me it was only 1b1 and never had to go through chemo. I been followed closely by my doctor. I just went to yearly visits. My next scheduled appointment is in October.

Now for what it is currently going on. I noticed for around 3 months or so pain in my right breast. It is in my arm pit under my upper arm on that same side and down my right side where my bra is. At first I thought it was my bra. Changed them. Then i thought was my deodorant switched to natural and even stopped using it as I thought could be causing my infected lymph nodes. I been also getting very painful migraines around the same time. I went and saw my doctor. She sent me in june for a mammogram and ultrasound. The mammogram found nothing but he wrote on the report my breast tissue is very dense. That could alter the results. Recommendation follow up 1 year.

Now my ultrasound I need to go back in 3 months. this was the report.

Right
Lymph Node: Right breast 21 mm x 8 mm x 17 mm lymph node at the axilla
posterior position. Assessment: 3 - Probably benign.

RECOMMENDATION:
Ultrasound follow up in 3 months is recommended for the right breast.

BI-RADS® ATLAS category (right): 3 Probably Benign
FILMS COMPARED: No comparisons were made when reading this study. HISTORY: Procedure: US AXILLA RIGHT Reason for exam: Axillary pain, right ULTRASOUND FINDINGS:
High resolution ultrasound imaging of the right axilla was performed.
Right Lymph Node: There is a 21 mm x 8 mm x 17 mm circumscribed axillary lymph node seen in the axilla region of the right breast in
the posterior portion. There are 2 similar findings. Says most likely benign.

My question is has anybody dealt with this? I cannot shake the fact that this pain I have is almost a daily basis. Its been a couple of months. I know it could be anything but what could it be? I do not have anyone I can really ask. I seem to be the only person in my family that has had cancer.

Thanks for the help,

Amber

mammogram was normal but been having pain for 6 months and with my mom just getting her breast cancer back a 2nd time. They decided to do a ultrasound. Ultrasound results were as followed they couldn't distinguish if it was a benign cyst because it was a 4.6x4.8x4.5mm with shadowing around it it is also hypoegentic hypoechoic mildly lobular. It is 3cm away from my nipple at 3 clock. They are reccomending a ultrasound guided biopsy. Can someone please help?

Liz61016, it sounds like your doctors are really being careful due to your family history. Here is a bit to read about to know what to expect: Biopsy.

We are sending you hugs, and really positive vibes

    Please keep us posted.
