My surgeon ordered an mri of my breast when they found a lump in my right breast.Are there false negatives or positives with this type of test.I am concerned.Thank you for listening.I am 66 yrs old and there is a family history.

False positives are the problem. They aren't very specific. Less than 5% false negative rate.
