What can be done to help side affects after treatments?

Options

I do not know if I have breast cancer or not until I go see my biopsy report on June 18 hopefully I do not but I always wonder why do some people get sick after chemo and radiation treatments and some people don't ?. I know a man that lives in my town who go get chemo for his cancer and afterward goes fishing, goes to work, never lost weight, his hair never failed out and eat as if he do not have any side affects at all. I know that medicine can be prescribed by doctors for the side affects but what else can be done to feel good and energetic. I want to ask him so bad but hopefully I want have to. Can anybody give some good tips and advice?

There are many different chemotherapy drugs and protocols. Not all cause hair loss. Most of the ones used for breast cancer do, however.

As far as energy levels, or eating or nausea, again that depends on the specific chemo drug and also on the person. We all respond quite differently and not everyone has all the same side effects. Some people work right through breast cancer treatments, others are quite ill and need time off. It just depends.

One of the best ways to combat chemo fatigue is exercise and staying active.
