Crossing into Canada

Hi Ladies.

Does anyone else live near Canada like I do and cross the border via vehicle? . We will be traveling in 2cweeks across the border into the Vancouver area to attendva family picnic. My cpusin messaged me this morning suggesting that i haveva letter from my RO that I have been receiving rads. A friend of hers just crossed and set off the radiation detector. They had her circle back thru 4 times and preceeded to detain her. Im bringing a letter for sure.

That's odd because external radiation doesn't make you radioactive and shouldn't be setting off any sensors https://www.breastcancer.org/treatment/radiation/1...

When I had my sentinel lymph node biopsy they gave me a card for crossing the border as the radioactive tracer dye would set off sensors.

I'm a Canadian resident receiving treatment in the USA. I haven't had an issues crossing border although when I have my MUGA scan and am radioactive I make sure I have a letter and I carry my medical device card for my mediport. I haven't started radiation yet but I'm now going to double check with RO about any potential issues.
