And the news isn't getting better plus more hurry up an wait...
We'll darn. Had my first oncologist visit today. Really liked her. Previous breast biopsy report was Invasive mammary (mixed ductal and lobular types) carcinoma, moderately differential. Today I got results from lymph node biopsy which is Metastatic duct carcinoma of breast, poorly differentiated, involving lymph nodes. I had breast MRI today. Oncologist has labs drawn for Tumor Marker and scheduled me for a full CT scan and Bone Scan with Dye tomorrow. Moving forward I meet with Surgeon next Monday, oncologist said that she and surgeron would meet with a "board" to dicuss my treatment and then next Thursday she would dicuss treatment options.
I don't have the receptors, HER-2, etc paths back yet but she said they should have soon and would call if they came before Monday.
....again, well darn.

Hi Jimi, I went through the same scenario last year at this time and I made it through. It will get better once you start the treatment. God bless!

Hi, I am new here. I have ILC. I started out early stage but with each biopsy, and recent surgery LMX things get worse. I am 111B or C. Have positive superficial skin margin. Pet scan tomorrow could put me at Stage IV. 17 of 21 nodes positive. Est+ Prog. - Her2 - Seeing Oncologist next week. Scared.

I have a friend dx stage 4 in January 2018. She went on a sugar free, organic diet, no red meat. Her last PET was clean. Had BMX. The malignant breast which started this mess showed only a few atypical cells. She was dx stage 4 due to lymph node involvement. No mets to bones, or other organs. Does anyone have any info on this. She was also on chemo for 4 months

Thank you Jimi..hope you are doing ok.

smoor - Stage IV is when the cancer has spread to other parts of your body like lungs, liver, etc. I have never heard that lymph node involvement no matter how many meant a Stage IV DX. I know lots of women who had cancerous nodes but aren’t Stage IV. I had a micromet in my SN and my stage was 1b. There has to be more to her DX.

Thank you...My Pet Scan came back negative to any cancer spread.
I know I have a long road ahead but this is the first encouragement I have had. My path sounds scary ...See Oncologist Monday for stage and plan of treatment.
Thanks for support.

Bootsie
Trust me I understand the fear and frustration. Things will get better as you get a good treatment plan . Take care of yourself first and don't be scared to ask for med that will help you get through this .
