Im not sure if this is how I post things and if its going in the correct area so please bare with me. As you can tell from the subject line I am 24 with stage 4. My cancer has spread to my bones. Im currently taking iBrance along with injections monthly that have sent me into menopause. One day I hope to hear NEAD. I was wondering if during that time I could possibly try for a child.I had the option of IVF before treatment but I refused because I would be pumped full of estrogen and the price was way too much. Plus its not 100% effective. I don't have any children of my own and it would make me so happy to possibly have one of my own someday. If not I would love to adopt or become a foster parent. Still doing my research on if stage 4 women have that option.

Hello Imisfit. Sorry you are here. You are way beyond too young to have to be dealing with this. I do have a friend that had a baby at Stage 4 eight years ago. She had her eggs harvested when diagnosed and then used a surrogate with donor sperm. It is uncommon but not impossible. She had bone mets at the time which were NED for 6 years. She has since developed lung mets but is stable and doing well. When she decided to go through with it, she developed a back up plan from the beginning so that her sister will take care of her daughter if something ever happens. Her sister is very involved with the child’s life.
