Recently diagnosed with invasive carcinoma, 8mm tumour in right breast. Having a CT scan today and seeing surgeon on Tuesday. Can’t stop my mind from going to a dark place, I know I need to stay positive but it is extremely difficult.

Sorry you find yourself here and completely understand your fear and anxiety. We’ve all been there and some of usare early in the process like you.

Believe it or not this is the worst part of the process - the unknown. You know at least what kind and after your scan you’ll know if it’s confined but your surgery and treatment is yet to be determined.

Once all that is decided the process should move quickly.

We can’t predict the outcome but we can safely say breast cancer isn’t the death sentence it used to be.

What you need is support from family and friends and a good medical team you have confidence in.

You can do this. We are all proof of that. You are stronger than you think. You have the most common BC. I had the same kind 7 years ago. So far, so good.

Keep the faith and keep us posted.

    Diane
