Any folks on Lupron?

hi! Just curious how folks who are on Lupron are doing?


Had monthly shot yesterday and I’m sacked out. Some months I feel pretty normal while others I seem to feel like I’ve been hit by a truck for a few days...

Just still not sure what’s “normal” with all these meds.

I am grateful for the medicines but sometimes I feel bummed that my body has a rough time with the side effects.

It’s a beautiful day outside and I can’t seem to get out of bed bumming!

Love- funny you should ask. I do notice that the week before my shot I start to feel much more energetic. Now I know from blood work that my numbers don’t actually spike as the Lupron wears off, so I can only assume it’s the medicine leaving my system.

I also feel bummed when I’m so wiped I can’t get moving. Strongly considering getting my ovaries out, at least I won’t have to do the shots anymore.

On the bright side, I can start planning things the week before my shot in anticipation of more energy

Yeah that makes sense as to a good reason to get ovaries out. I couldn’t think of a clear reason to do it before but I can see now how/why that could be helpful in place of the shot.

And yeah so funny I did do a cardio kickboxing class on Thursday (shot then on Friday) and now I’m totally laid out here on Saturday with a fever.

I think I wanna blame something lol!! 😂
