Drat. It's official. Need a total hysterectomy because of the cysts on both ovaries. The largest one in April was 3.6cm. Praying it can be done vaginally to only need One cut into the low abdominal mesh from the hernia repair. Since leaving at end of August, not sure I can get it done soon enough for an entire recovery to handle a cross-country road trip. If not, then it would likely be in late Oct or Nov based on family availability to be in Oregon with me for the surgery and recovery. Not the type of operation to be dealing with dogs and chickens immediately after. Thankfully I'll be staying on the main floor instead of upstairs then.

July 9th is the repeat chest ct scan about the sternum lesion.

Sorry for TMI, two things at once just makes me more anxious about it all than usual.

Gaisal, I had a HX and ooph at age 50, due to cysts and fibroids. It was done trans-vaginally. The recovery was pretty easy, as I recall. I felt kind of heavy and bloated for a while, took pain pills for a few days after, was the normal tired you feel after major surgery. I think I had a followup at 6 or 8 wks. It takes a while for the soft tissues to heal. Other than not being able to lift and carry heavy things for a few weeks, it was all good. If you have SX soon, you may be just fine to go, barring any complications. Your Dr can give you some advice on that. I had one little emotional "melt-down" several months later and for whatever reason I missed my uterus!:) I got over it quickly. I hope your scans and SX go well and you are able to make the trip as planned!

There's no symptoms. It was found on a ct scan in Apr which was done for something else. This past week had the trans-vaginal ultrasound done. Thanks for your input, it's appreciated.

May wind up waiting until early Nov for it instead for better scheduling of help at home etc. We'll see. No doubt it will depend on it it's grown since the Apr scan.
