Possible IBC symptoms?

I posted on this forum back in April I believe. At that time (April 23rd), I had a small raised red mark on my right breast. It was oval. Went to dermatologist. Said it's dermatitis. He gave me a steroid cream. Didn't help. Went to a differnt doctor, she said it could be ringworm. Used an antifungal. Didn't help. Went to an OGBYN whom sent me for an ultrasound (first week of May). Ultrasound came back clear. Radiologist did say I had dense breast tissue but that was normal for my age. (20). Skin issue didn't resolve. Went back to dermatologist. He did a skin scrape. It was NOT fungal. He said its dermatitis as well. He gave me another steroid cream. I kept using the steroid cream, but the red spot faded a bit and changed shape. So I went to a Nurse Practitioner in my hometown, per my grandma's request. NP said it was just dry skin but that I needed to stop using the steroid cream as it will literally melt fat and skin cells if used too long. I stopped using the steroid and started moisturizing. The spot on my breast now looks entirely different. Whereas it used to be a distinct red, raised oval shape, it is now a bunch of very small pink bumps in a random shape. It is larger than the original mark, but much lighter in color.

Here are the things I know for sure:

1. It is now two months since the spot originally appeared
2. I do not have the money to go back to a doctor.
3. I haven't had any swelling or redness all over the breast

Is this likely just dermatis that is having difficulty healing??

In a word, yes. This doesn't sound anything like IBC, but it does sound like dermatitis. IBC advances within hours and days--its pretty dramatic. No amount of cream will improve it. IBC is very rare, most commonly diagnosed in women over 60. At age 20, breast cancer of any variety is EXCEEDINGLY rare. I'm not sure what is causing your rash, but i feel safe in reassuring you that it is most likely NOT cancer.

Have you changed laundry detergent, body wash or any other skincare products lately? If so this could be the cause. Recently I stopped using dryer sheets because it gave me contact dermatitis in strange places..elbows, ankles and nose. I could imagine a bra rubbing against an area that had soap residue might cause contact dermatitis...just a thought. Keep us posted please!
