4 1/2 years out from Mastectomy annnnddddd.... Ugh

So I totally understand that my mastectomy from DCIS on the left has zero to do with my new issue on the right but, dang it! I had a mastectomy with multifocal, multi quadrant DCIS that was behaving weirdly--that was 4 1/2 years ago. Cured!

Fast forward to last month when I developed spontaneous nipple discharge on my "good side"--TSH, Prolactin, Mammogram and Breast ULS all normal. Yay! Call if it comes back. Great. Will do. Moved on....

Last night? Spontaneous nipple discharge again. Smaller in amount I am guessing, clear but thicker. Could express a little bit, too. Comes out of one spot only.

Confession time...I haven't seen my oncologist in more than 2 years because I didn't see the value. Feeling badly about that today...oh well. Its probably fine, but I'll wait to hear what my PCP says. The radiologist who read my mammo and did mu uls said if it came back I'd need an MRI. For something that is likely benign this is going to cost $$. And the cost of wine. I think I deserve some of that.

ugh. I can’t see my surgeon until July 10th. Because it’s been 3 years so I am a new patient. That took the wind out of my sails. My son leaves for college 8/5. I wanted this all behind me
