Are the stats same for traditional mammograms and tomography?

So I have had a week to over think everything... My appointments with the breast specialist and biopsy is Monday. All the stats say 80% of the time it's benign. Do the stats take into consideration the type of mammography?

The stats are based on the Bi-rads rating of the images, not how they were obtained

I guess what I'm trying to ask is do images done on a 3D mammogram affect the bi-rads classification

Only in that they might be more likely to show something the other didn't. Conversely, if the images were clearer it might be more likely to be clearly identifiable as benign. Your calcifications likely would show fairly well on either. When calcifications appear in certain patterns (grouping, linear) the area needs to be evaluated. A Bi-Rads 4 (with no a, b, or c) is still around an 80% benign rate.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I swear this last week I’ve gone through all the stages of grief, and I haven’t even had the biopsy yet. It’s insane because I know logically that I’m likely in the clear
