Recommendations for BS in Memorial Sloan Kettering NYC

Hi everyone,

I need help with BS recommendation in MSK in NYC. Anyone who is willing to share/recommend their BS that they're happy with would be extremely helpful!

Just a little background: after birad 4 yearly mammo. I've had 2 biopsies and was diagnosed w/ ADH.

I need to see a BS and it's overwhelming. So any help with doctor reco. would be great.

I went to Dr Al Tamer for a second opinion and I really liked him. His manners, his way to communicate; his exploration was extremely thorough. My oncologist (from another NY hospital) recommended him and said he is top-notch. Good luck!

so are you thinking prophylactic mastectomy? If so, will you do recon? That’s important because you’ll need more than just a BS. And depending on the recon type (implants, natural tissue, or hybrid) and the reconschedule (immediate or delayed recon), you may need a different set of surgeons or opt to go somewhere else more specialized in a particular type of recon.

Dr. Alexandra Heerdt is amazing! She's extremely comforting and kind, but most importantly knows her stuff. She saw me for my ADH.

hi Futura.. just to let U know..once U choose a dr or surgeon at mskcc..U are NOT ALLOWED TO CHANGE DRS..ONCE U SAW THEM..NOT EVEN FOR ANOTHER OPINION FROM A DR FROM MSK.. THAT IS THEIR PROTOCOL.. BEST WISHES HOPE...
