Good Afternoon,

My bosses wife was diagnosed with Stage IV MBC, that metastised to her lungs. She started a clinical trial of Gedatolisib. Has anyone on here known someone that is in this trial or are on this trial themselves. If so what has been their/your expericence? She had to stop due to mouth sores. Do y'all have that problem as well?

Thanks & have a great day.

She does have Stage IV Breast Cancer that is now in her lungs. My bosses wife is too ill right now to get on the computer to look into these forums and her husband is not computer literate so he asked that I do this for him.

Excuse me if I sounded harsh, but since I, and everyone else who posts to the stage IV forum, is dealing with our own health, the moderators have tried to limit the population who is allowed to post on these threads.

That being said, yes I understand that she is stage IV. Gedatolisib is in clinical trials so personal experiences with it may be limited. My understanding is that it is in trials for other types of cancer beside bc. Have you used the search feature to see if anyone else has mentioned this drug or is participating in a clinical trial? I, personally, can't recall anyone being in this trial, but that doesn't mean there isn't someone on bco who isn't (I don't swear by my memory!). Mouth sores are not an uncommon side effect of other chemos, so it is not surprising to hear this.

Best of luck to your bosses wife.

PS: I noticed mention of this trial on the Ibrance thread. Check it out:
