Followup mammo/US results (focal asymmetry, increasing density)

Thank you all for letting me lurk here for the last week. I've been freaked out and nonstop worrying about a call back for a followup mammo.

I thought I'd share my results in case it helps someone else in this same situation.

I had a 3D mammo at the end of May. I'm 45 and have had 3D mammograms before. The results stated "focal asymmetry in the upper outer quadrant demonstrates increasing density".

I had the followup today with additional 3D views and also an ultrasound. Thankfully, it was small cysts. The radiologist says my breasts are extremely dense and that I may want to consider having ultrasounds every year and that I should discuss it with my Dr. She also said that they had recently switched to 3D low radiation mammograms and it was causing differences when comparing to previous years results.

Just wanted to share in case it helps someone else. It has been a very long week - worrying and more worrying. Even though I didn't post then, I found a lot of support here and just wanted to say thank you.
