My report from 6 months ago stated, "ADENOSIS, WITH CALCIFICATIONS.

MULTIPLE APOCRINE CYSTS; DUCTAL HYPERPLASIA OF THE USUAL TYPE.

NO ATYPICAL PROLIFERATIVE LESIONS IDENTIFIED"

I know nothing terrible, but I am worried about the ductal hyperplasia of the usual type. It seems these often progress to atypical hyperplasia and then invasive breast cancer. Does the medical community watch usual ductal hyperplasia? Or, can they remove these cells? I would rather undergo a preventive surgery now (short of mastectomy) than keep watching for these cells to progress.
