Hi! I had a vacuum-assisted biopsy on April 16, and only had slight discomfort for a week after and a bruise for maybe 2 weeks. Pretty uneventful. Biospy showed ALH and PASH. Recommended removing the area, but With family history and some other risk factors, I have decided on a PBMX, and was hoping to do it at the end of August. Surgeon said it was fine to wait, that we could just do it all at once instead of removing this area now. Wanted to enjoy the summer and vacation before starting the journey. Anyhoo, I noticed about 5-6 days ago a lump near/at the biopsy site. I have EXTREMELY dense and fibrocystic breasts, so sometimes normal lumps and bumps are hard to distinguish from anything out of the ordinary, but I'm not mistaken on this one. Pretty obvious. I didn't feel a lump before my biopsy- biopsy ordered based on MRI results. But, I can feel this lump, and it feels...not painful...not really uncomfortable....just, I notice it. Today I think my breast seems a little swollen. Saw my surgeon yesterday, he felt it too and ordered a diagnostic mammo just to be safe since my PBMX will be a couple months away (waiting to be scheduled now). I'm not freaked out thinking they missed something with the biopsy. Wondering if I should cancel vacation plans and have my surgery ASAP instead.

Anyone seem to heal initially well from biopsy, then develop pain/lumps a while after?
