Tamoxifen and Menstrual Migraine - Better or Worse?

I will begin taking Tamoxifen in a few weeks, after a short break from treatment to recover from the effects of radiation. I have been suffering from pretty severe menstrual migraines for about a decade. Prior to my diagnosis, I'd attempted various treatments to try to even out my hormones, but they always made it worse. It's a HUGE quality of life issue and can be nearly debilitating at times. I'm very concerned on how Tamoxifen may impact my headaches. I've asked my MO and my physical therapist (who specializes in cancer treatment) and both think it might actually make my headaches better by helping with the huge estrogen crash that comes with my cycle. Does anyone have any experience with this they can share? Did Tamoxifen make your headaches better or worse? I'm holding out hope that the one silver lining of cancer is that it may help cure my headaches.

I have had more migraines around my period, but I don't know if it's because of the Tamoxifen or the fact that I'm nearing 50. I'm not yet perimenopausal, but do feel more hormonal changes around my period than I did before cancer.

I hope you can find some relief!

Hi everyone...in theory hormone triggered migraines should get better oj Tamoxifen. Hope you get that silver lining!
