18 y/o: pain, lump in 1 breast especially, nipple discharge

As the title states, I'm currently 18. As i write this, I'm nearing my period, and I have learned it's normal for breasts to be lumpy. However, while both breasts are painful and lumpy, my right one seems to be even more so. It even hurts when I walk.

I've been worried since about last year. I went to my gyno and got checked both on the breasts (palpation only) and I got my ovaries checked. It seems I had some hormonal issues, which caused polycystic ovaries, and lumps inside my breasts, but I got rid of them at the start of 2018 (through medicine recommended to me).

I went for an ultrasound as well, and everything came out fine in the end. I sometimes have spontaneous nipple discharge in my right one (the painful, lumpy one), and it isn't like liquid in any way. It's kind of white-ish, but it doesn't stain my shirt or anything. My doctor described it as being maybe "boob matter"? (I'm translating it to english, since I'm not a native). Thus, all my doctors said it was harmless, and all my checks were totally ok!

It scares me to no end, because as I've said, my right breast tends to be especially lumpy, painful compared to the other one, and it even has some hard, small , white-ish discharge on top of that! It's kind of like a dust thing, and the first time I saw it occur was in 2015 actually, and my doctors have said it's fine time and time again.

Hi lovenature! We understand you're concerned, but painful and lumpy breasts are normal for some women as physiological reactions caused by hormonal changes before menstrual cycles, specially at young age. Same with discharge, can be normal during the menstrual cycle. You're wise to get it checked by a doctor anyway, because even when it's nothing to worry about, could need some kind of treatment. If it helps, here is an article from our main site where you can learn more on Breast Cancer Symptoms.
