Hey All,

My mom is 66 yo and she got her biopsy results last month, the results said is negative for malignancy, which was quite a relieved for everybody, the biopsy said there is a mass with partially defined edges, so today she went to the gynecology and he said he's kinda worried by the look of the mass , so he sent her some torax rx and a total abdominal ultrasound, and he sent her to the gynecologist-oncologist, so now we are kinda worried,so my question is: arent the biopsy results accurate enough? has anyone gone thtough something similar?

I am not a specialist but biopsy is samples of part of the mass so not 100% representative of everything. Until you take out the mass and biopsy it again, you don't get the total picture. The fact that it came back b9 initially makes me think it is probably at a very early stage, if not totally b9. So the more test you take, the better you will know what is really going on. I know it's really scary and worrisome right now, but just take it one day at a time and wait for the results. Good luck.
