Anxiety or chemo drugs?

I just completed my 5th of 6 chemo treatments and feel like I am going to crawl out of my skin. I can't sit still but yet don't have the energy to do anything. I am currently taking Docetaxel and Carboplatin (and Herceptin due to HER2+). Is this being caused by the chemo or by anxiety from all of my fears? I went through this on my 4th round also and it lasted about 5 days. The doctor had my heart checked out and all seems to be ok. I am taking Lorezepam at night so I can sleep but would like to know what is causing all of this. Any help would be appreciated!

Could it be the steroids they give during chemo? Thsy will definitely cause that kind of agitation.

They said the steroids should be out of my body in two days. This is lasting longer. Maybe the steroids just don't leave my body as quickly?

I was on that same chemo regimen and I took steroids for 5 days total and they did that to me hopefully it's just the steroid still in your system

Try upping your fluid intake to help flush the steroids out. Tell your MO, maybe the dose could be cut back some.

The steroid Dexathadone didnt agree with me and I told my oncologist and stopped taking it. She was ok with that. Physical activity even when I felt awful really helped lift my mood. I thought of exercise as medicine
