    update :

Lump removal surgery scheduled for July 11th. Curious if I will need a pre op visit etc? I know they want my labs to be done in advance. I also hope I don’t need to be fully under anesthesia for this procedure? Twilight sedation seems better to me. Lots of questions but no call back

Sita26, i am getting a lumpectomy and have a pre-op visit with the breast surgeon on Friday and a pre-op physical with my primary care doctor next week. I will be fully under for anesthesia but i go home the same day.

I just had a lumpectomy. The surgeon took a full history and Pre-op called me with a few questions, but I did nothave to go in for a pre-op Eval.

I don't know what you mean by Twilight anesthesia. I was given an IV, no intubation, they woke me in OR and I went home about an hour later. So I know it was not full general anesthesia. Does that make sense

I just wanted to update anyone who’s lurking the threads

I had my lump removed. Very easy recovery. The diagnosis was “tubular adanoma”. Rare benign breast mass.

waiting and googling, alternately laughing, crying, dancing, unable to sleep. Watching reruns of SNL. Going nuts. Nurse promised me 24-48 hours, no later than friday, 8/24/18.

Bi-rads 5, 18mm, 12 o'clock, spiculated, not parallel, looks weird with lines spreading outward from center. Ugh. Appreciate your moral support.
