HER2 Equivocal - Chemo or not?

Hi ladies! I'm stage 1A ER/PR + (100 %) but HER2 equivocal (HCI and Duel ISH). Had Lumpectomy and nodes are clear. ONC says no chemo because of the high ER/PR and doesn't believe an oncotype is necessary. I LOVE the idea of no chemo....but am also nervous about it. Anybody else HER2 equivocal and NOT do chemo?

    I was 95% ER+/PR+, and I did chemo (which wiped out my active cancer). Why won't your doctor do an oncotype or maybe Mammaprint? Doesn't MO want to be sure that you're at low risk of recurrence? I would also look into having your lump tested again for an overexpression of the HER2+ protein.

    I think hormone therapy would be very effective in your case. I was also her2+ equivocal, I had a high oncodx score of 34 but I declined chemo snd did AI drugs for 4 years. I am 7 years NED.
