Someone should tell you about polyps when you start tamoxifen

I'm all for tamoxifen. I'm really grateful for it. But I wish someone had told me there was such a thing as polyps when I started it so I wouldn't have gotten horribly traumatized last night. I had a long piece of flesh coming out my vagina from way inside and it freaked me out so incredibly much. Both my husband and I had the worst night worrying. We thought it was a vaginal cyst, which can be a long road of suffering. Or that it could be my bladder going into my vagina. Turns out it was a polyp which is easily and painlessly removed by the doctor just twisting it. I wish I had known this so I didn't have to worry all night and day. I hope this post helps someone else know what it is if they get it. The more years you're on tamoxifen the more likely it is. It is tissue in your uterus that goes into your vagina.
