biopsy normal but ultrasound in 6 months?

because my results were normal I kind of ignored this because I thought I was in the clear. so I didn't do this. it's been a year and a half now. I'm going to do it. because my doctor said it was necessary but why if the biopsy was normal? I'm choosing now to freak out about it. because I really thought the biopsy was definitive... does this mean I'm a high cancer risk or is this what they tell everyone just to err on the side of caution?

A 6 month followup after a benign biopsy is routine, basically standard of care these days.
