Hi, I have been having a lump in my breast over few months. US shows 7x8x8 mass not a cyst. Birads score is 0 recommended mri of breast with contrast. Mri showed 5mm nodule, large area of enhancement, birads score 4 suspicious finding, differential diagnoses include lobular carcinoma vs inflammation. Needs US guided biopsy. So I went to do my biopsy, they couldn’t visualize my mass; therefore, couldn’t biopsy it. Recommended to follow up in 6 months repeat mri if the mass is still there then do the biopsy. I couldn’t bear the thought of having to wait 6 months and not knowing what is growing in my breast. So I went to my doctor, she ordered mri guided biopsy. But now I’m afraid that the radiology doctor may refuse to do my mri guided biopsy since they didn’t see it on the second ultrasound

    Hi Gena_gena, welcome to Breastcancer.org. We know the waiting and uncertainty are difficult to deal with, but take it one step at a time, but if your doctor ordered the MRI guided biopsy, that should be enough! Please come back to let us know how it goes. We're thinking of you!
