Swelling under arms after Lat Flap tunneling procedure

Hi!

My BMX was March 6th. On March 26th, it was determined that my skin (both sides) suffered necrosis and a 2nd surgery was performed (Lat Flap). So- I am nearly 2 mos from the 2nd surgery. My under arm area is still very, very swollen.

Can anyone give advice on how long this takes to subside, if at ALL?

That's muscle that needs time to go away. I remember it took months but now my lat flap side is just as flat as my non-surgical side. Hang in there!

Itiswell-Do you mean the incision where lat was tunneled from?  I don't have any underarm (armpit) swelling and I'm post lat flap surgery 5 weeks.

No, I do t have any swelling around the Lat incisions. I’m referring to directly under the arm where the tunneling took place. Moreso on my side. It’s very swollen, very numb.... etc.
