Biopsy Pain - recommendations?

I had and was treated for breast cancer in 2012 and 2013. I had a double mastectomy and reconstruction.

I have two lumps now and they are both right against my chest wall (as my original cancer was).

They want to do a biopsy... but my biopsy in 2012 was horribly horribly painful due to the tumors being right on my chest wall, like now.

Any tips for a biopsy? Can they do a surgical biopsy or use general anesthesia?

I had a surgical biopsy with my recurrence. You should have input into which type of biopsy they do.
