implants 10 years

Hi, I have my implants (silicone) for almost 10 years. A month or so ago I had some pain in the area. Now I noticed one side is very squishy and soft, where as they were always hard. Does this mean it might have a leak or be going bad? I do have an appointment set up with PS, but was wondering if others had the same thing happen.. I think I'm going to ask to remove them even if they are ok, I hate them. I feel like they move when I sleep (been wearing a sports bra for 10 years to sleep ) due to this. I also still get the iron bra feeling.. I still wear fake ones anyway, because the reconstructed ones were too small for body shape anyway to make my clothes fit right. Just curious about other's experiences.

I don’t blame you. But remember you will probably have drains again ! I recently had treatment by a lymphadenopathy specialist....she worked on the iron bra area with good results. I’m 4 years out.

Isn't 10 yrs about the normal lifespan of an implant?

I know they don't last forever, and we do eventually have to exchange them out for new ones.

The manufacturer's warranty lasts 10 years, but it's not unusual for implants to last much longer.
