Start my chemo tomorrow

Tomorrow start 4 cycles of A/C and injections the following day for white blood counts Neulastan. After that 12 cycles of taxol then 4 weeks off then surgery depending on the what I decide radiation. I am triple negative grade 3 stage 1. My onco doctor said he was being aggressive because there is so much a bout triple neg they don't understand. I want a mastectomy surgeon wants me to consider a lumpectomy. A funny story about this whole journey today I got my haircut told the stylist wanted it short to make it fun because it would be gone in a month due to chemo she cut it like a boy haircut I told her she lack imagination she replied it would be gone in a month I just laugh cant sweat the small stuff.

Hi llupp - You're starting chemo almost to the day I did 4.5 years ago. While it seemed to take forever to get through at the time, all I can tell you is the last 4.5 years have flown by. A lot of it seems like a distant memory. My Onc pushed for the lumpectomy too and I went with it. I think I made the right choice for me (originally diagnosed triple neg so I got the same chemo as you, but showed ER+ on surgery path) You are the deciding factor, so go with whatever your heart tells you to do.

Always advocate for yourself. Start by getting a new hairdresser, man oh man! what a thing to say to you! I'm glad you laughed, your 'can't sweat the small stuff" attitude is going to get you through just fine, it did for me.
