Just reaching out to see if anyone can share their experience. I was diagnosed with ILC which showed as 1cm with some calcifications. After waiting an excruciating 12 days to see a surgeon and getting an MRI, the nurse said the good news is the mass is as expected but a lymph node looks enlarged so they want another mammo and ultrasound and may need to biopsy it. How is that good news? Now I have to wait to schedule new appointments in next few days but I am barely making it minute to minute. Any experience with this? I just had to get this off my chest - at home trying to act normal in front of my babysitter and kids but am melting down inside

hi Staceybee! So sorry to hear about your diagnosis . I know having all those appointments is overwhelming but one at a time.

I was diagnosed with IDC and doing all the tests was tiring but i had no choice i just wanted to start the process after diagnosis (ct scan + abdomen ultrasound + preop+ lumpectomy +reexcision+chestxray+chestct scan+ meetMO+meetRO ) now waiting for Oncotype before preventive treatment.

It’s a long process but once you started you are going to be fine. All the best for you try to take things one at a time... hug

I had an enlarged lymphnode on my early mammo that also showed some “thickening”. It was biopsied and came back clean. It’s just as likely your node will be fine so try not to worry. Also, treatment for node + BC is very successful too. Hang in there! The waiting is the WORST part!!

Thank you so much for the response and encouragement. It was very helpful for me to hear. The waiting between appointments and getting results is so hard

I had a positive lymph node and the treatment recommendation was the same regimen, but recommended more strongly.

My MRI saw an enlarged node that was biopsied and turned out to be benign. Your body is going through a lot of procedures and stress, so an enlarged node is not unusual.

    Best to you!

my US showed an enlarged lymph node as well. It was biopsied and was found to be B9. Hoping the same for you.
